Hellgate: London and ES4: Oblivion (By Ffej)

Here are two games that I'll keep track of for the Bootclub. They are not yet out, but they plan on being more than promising. The first is Hellgate: London, which is set in a post-apoc London where a gate to, you guessed it, Hell has been torn open. Although some would claim this game to be a FPS, it is not. It is an RPG to the core. What makes this game stand out from others is that it is built for Co-op multiplay; meaning that several human players can go through the game together. Another notable feature of this game is that the game world is fully randomly generated every time you play so as to never have the same experience twice. Finally, the game is customizable in a million billion ways. Think of playing Deus Ex, for those of you that have played it, or for Josh, System Shock 2, (remember our alternating gaming schedual we had on that game? haha) but with more weapon, player, and a potentially huge mod community. It's definately worth a look for those that are interested. The game is made by ex-blizzard employees that created Diablo 1 and 2 and will more than likely be a polished gem once it's released. Check out some screen shots and movies, I think you'll be impressed and then be embarassed that you were ever skeptic.

The second game is Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. I don't know if I need to say anthing about this one. If you haven't played an Elder Scroll's game, then you're not just a nerd who plays video games, but you're a loser nerd that plays video games and has never played an Elder Scroll's game. The last one to be released was Marrowind. The company making this game is Bethesda. They made such games as Sea Dogs (Josh has a big grin on his face right now), Marrowind, and are currently developing Fallout 3 and Call of Cthulu.
